Dating Violence Since enrolling at Northern, the vast majority of participants (90%) reported that they have not experienced dating violence. Among the small proportion who did report such experiences, 10% indicated that someone scared them without making physical contact, 9% reported being threatened or fearing they might be harmed, and 6% experienced physical behaviors such as being pushed, grabbed, or shaken.
