ARC3-Survey-Report

44 2025 ARC3 SURVEY FINDINGS Formal Reporting of Victimization (2025) Thinking about the instance(s) of sexual misconduct described in prior questions, did you tell anyone about the incident before this questionnaire? Formal Reporting of Victimization It is important to note that, regardless of the type of sexual misconduct experienced, the majority of survey participants (73%) did not disclose the incident to anyone prior to completing this questionnaire. Among the 27% who did share their experience, most told a close friend other than a roommate (24%) or an off-campus counselor or therapist (17%). Notably, there was a significant increase in students reporting that they disclosed their experience to someone from the institution, reflecting a 20% increase since 2022. This rise may be attributed to enhanced awareness campaigns, targeted training initiatives, and the active involvement of supportive staff, which appear to have encouraged more students to come forward. 73% 27% 8% 24% 10% 13% 5% 0% 4% 0% 17% 2% 2% 0% 8% 2% 2% 14% No Yes Roommate Close friend other than roommate Romantic partner Parent or guardian Other family member Doctor/nurse Religious leader Off-campus rape crisis center Off-campus counselor/therapist Local police Campus security or police department Insitution health services On-campus counselor/therapist Resident advisor or Residence Life staff Office of student conduct Insitution faculty or staff
