Preventing crimes and harm to students, faculty, and sta is core to the mission and priorities of Student A airs and Northern State University. Key Results: 68. Working with the Student Success Center, create a workshop to train campus partners to identify students of concern, o er support, and refer to helpful resources/o ces (Aligns with Objective 3, Increase Student Wellness). 69. Create and brand a Northern CARES Program that promotes care to students of concern, protects con dentiality and works within a framework to gather data, assess information utilizing a rubric, and implements e ective and tangible interventions (Aligns with Objective 3, Increase Student Wellness). 70. Assess campus lighting and develop a plan to address areas of concern. 71. Improve lighting and add video cameras to the Washington Street parking lot. 72. Create and o er students a “safe-walk” program to help pedestrians walk around campus a er sunset. 73. Utilizing M&R funding, install an appropriate number of video cameras in all residence halls (needed in McWelsh, Steele, Kramer, and Briscoe). 74. Add student identi cation photo to Maxient. 75. Have a campus-wide values conversation about the Code of Conduct beyond a disciplinary framework. 76. Complete the Biennial Review of Alcohol and Drug Programs (Aligns with Objective 3 Increase Student Wellness). 77. Create and implement a comprehensive and mandatory sexual misconduct education program for all new students (under 60 credit hours), (Aligns with Objective 3, Increase Student Wellness). 78. Working with Aberdeen Police Department, review our Law Enforcement Agreement to consider “safe walk”, our operational hours, and document areas of strength and improvement in our long-term partnership. 82.
