For many years George has supported various scholarships including a memorial scholarship for Doland, SD, High School students honoring his parents, Norma and Joe Rahm. After experiencing two significant health scares that deeply impacted him and highlighted the critical role nurses play in patient recovery and care, George established the Norma J. Rahm Memorial Nursing Endowment at Northern. It expanded upon the Doland high school scholarships by supporting students pursuing nursing degrees at Northern. He also created the George A. Rahm Nursing Fund that provides annual support for nursing essentials, including equipment, mannequins, lab training and other nursing-specific needs. Together, these funds strengthen Nursing at Northern and help prepare graduates to serve in healthcare settings around the region. George’s gifts are making a lasting and meaningful impact.
