33 GYPSY DAYS Fall’s biggest tradition set for September 2026 Northern State University’s Homecoming/Gypsy Days celebration returns Sept. 21-27, 2026, with a week of festivities honoring Northern’s proud traditions. South Dakota’s largest parade will march down Main Street at 9 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 26. Parade registration will open in summer 2026 at northern.edu/gypsy-days. “Gypsy Days means reconnecting with people I care about, celebrating school spirit and honoring traditions,” said 2025 Homecoming King Gunnar Larson. “This is when alumni, current students and the community come together to celebrate Northern.” Northern State University invites alumni, students and the Aberdeen community to join this cherished tradition.
