Activities from Northern improve the quality of life in Aberdeen as well.” Lust: NSU immensely important to region For local business owner Steven Lust, it’s important to support Northern State University and the Educational Impact Campaign because it helps ensure students’ growth and success after graduation. Lust said Northern State University is immensely important not only to Aberdeen, but also the surrounding region. “The jobs that NSU creates are very important to the regional economy,” he said. “The students enrolled play a huge role in our community and offer great examples for the youth of Aberdeen to look up to.
