Their father, Duane Harms, was an incredibly active and supportive community member when living in Aberdeen. The family business, Harms Oil Company, was founded in Aberdeen in 1976 and still has a sizable workforce in the community today. Though they are not living there now, the family is still very fond of the community, and they have ongoing relationships and continued interaction with life in Aberdeen, Jeff Harms said. When looking for projects to support, Harms said, the family considers who else is supportive of those various endeavors. “It’s obvious that the entire region is behind Northern and the Educational Impact Campaign. We are thankful that we can play a small part in making such a great project a reality.” “Northern plays really a significant role in adding to the quality of life in our region.” JEFF HARMS
