6 Hugh Glass Brianna Arbogast Where you stand Is where he once stood; Clothes torn and body mauled, Pleading and bleeding. Left to die alone By fellow explorers, Former friends. Hugh, They say, is a legend Of the South Dakota type. He fought a bear And lost, was left To die, and rose. Rattlesnakes And mountains couldn’t Keep him from them, The former friends, Frontiersmen, shocked To hear he lived. Where you stand Is where he once stood And where he found life Again. To Want I want the sun and the moon And all the things in between. I want the days to be short And the hours to be long. I want the next big thing And all the nostalgia of the past. I want all the things that I could ever want And all the things that I could never want. To have all the things and dreams and desires, Would that really give me all the things and dreams and desires? To want is not to need, And to need is not to want. To want and to need are two separate things, But the lines get blurred with no in-between. Brianna Arbogast
