70 “I don’t feel very threatened,” said Nick giving one zombie a light push and knocking it on its back where it writhed helplessly. Damon stammered for a moment. “Uhh… Umm… Well, I shall bring about your doom soon enough,” he said regaining his composure and brandishing his staff. “Okay, I’ve had enough of this,” said Scott pulling out a smart tablet and tapping on the screen. “Excuse me?” said Damon incredulously. “I will bring ruin upon this earth and I will not be ignore—Aaaagh!” His last word was cut short as Scott tapped his smart pad and Damon’s staff blew up in his hand with a blast of splintering wood. The undead legions toppled like so many rag dolls, and the bystanders cheered. “Ow! What the hell man!” screamed Damon clutching his hand. “Alright,” said Scott. “I’m going to have a word with this young man. You two clean up this mess. Scott then walked over to Damon, reached under his hood, and grabbed his ear. “Come on, we’re going to have a little chat,” he said pulling the whimpering dark lord aside. “Alright then,” said Nick. “Would all people who have just been traumatized please come here so we can mind-wipe you.” And so the employees of Wizards Incorporated made short work of the clean-up with Darron repairing the damage and removing the inert corpses, Nick erasing the townspeople’s memories, and Scott giving the dark lord a lecture on abuse of magical power. When it was finished Nick and Darron waited while Scott left Damon with some parting words. “Well, I hope you learned your lesson kid. Be a little more community-minded when you use magic, and for god’s sake stop taking yourself so seriously. No one will take you seriously with a title like The Dark Lord of The Abyss or whatever.” He turned to his co workers who where looking impatient. “Well, I have to go now,” said Scott. “Uh… Do you think you could fix my hand?” Damon asked, holding out his splinter-filled palm. “No. Go see a doctor,” said Scott. And with that he went over to his co workers and they vanished just like they had come, leaving the town of Fairway the same as it was before, except for an extremely embarrassed dark lord and an amazed cafe waitress who had avoided having her memories erased. Tina took a look at the business card and placed it in her pocket. She had no idea what had just happened or whether it had all been real or a dream, but one thing was for sure: this company had a very satisfied customer.
