The Earth where I was born shines so distant and foreign . . . and beautiful. Mission Log: Day 1460 Happy birthday to me. The red dust of my home cakes on my metal; I like the way it tickles. Mission Log: Day 1825 Happy birthday to me. I haven’t heard from my parents lately; I hope they liked my selfie. Mission Log: Day 2190 Happy birthday to me. My arm doesn’t move well anymore, but that’s okay; I’m lucky to be alive! Mission Log: Day 2555 Happy birthday to me. I have wandered so far, but there’s so much more to see. Mission Log: Day 2920 Happy birthday to me. One of my wheels won’t spin, but don’t worry, I have three more. Mission Log: Day 3285 Happy birthday to me. I may not be very fast, but I’m a good worker. Mission Log: Day 3650 Happy birthday to me. I am very happy because it’s my tenth birthday; I’m a big girl now. Mission Log: Day 4015 Happy birthday to me. I saw some new rocks today that were shaped funny; ha ha. Mission Log: Day 4380 Happy birthday to me. Sometimes I blink back at the twinkly lights in the sky. I hear singing . . . my favorite song: “I’ll be looking at the moon, but I’ll be seeing you.” Thank you, parents . . . I love you . . . My battery is low and it’s getting dark.
