A great way to make a significant impact to NSU Wrestling is through membership in the Wrestling Alpha Pack– an exclusive insider club that is the backbone of Northern’s wrestling team. By donating at least $300 (through the NSU Foundation), you can become a difference-maker, being part of enhancing the student-athlete experience and elevating the team to the top of the NSIC and NCAA Division II. IDENTIFIED NEEDS We have identified a list of needs that will assist in building a championship culture for NSU Wrestling. To compete as a NSIC Conference Championship team, we need to continue our scholarship funding, improve our program’s operating budget, and enhance the overall student-athlete experience. SCHOLARSHIPS The NCAA maximum scholarship level for wrestling is 9 scholarships. NSU is currently at 5.2 scholarships which means we are roughly $75,000 short of our goal of being a fully funded wrestling program. COST: $75,000 annually DAILY PROGRAM ENHANCEMENT Nutritional enhancements for meals and post workout needs, strength and conditioning upgrades, increased funding for travel, facilities renovations, and everything needed to ensure our athletes are equipped to train and perform at the highest level.
