He will be presented with his award officially at the 2024 NDMEA Conference. 2012 Kaye (Weber) DesLauriers was named the Harrisburg School District Secondary Teacher of the Year. CELEBRATIONS 1963 Sheila (Smith) Stout retired from Fletcher Miller School in Lakewood, CO, after 30+ years of working with and loving special needs children. 1979 Ken Bruckner was recently inducted into the National High School Athletic Coaches Hall of Fame. 1979 Peggy (Grant) Ustad retired in August 2023 from Augustana University in Sioux Falls, SD after 26 years as the art director/graphic designer in the Creative Services Department. 1986 Becky (Schmit) Jensen retired after 26 years of teaching (28 in Chamberlain, Beresford eight). In 2012, Jensen was selected by SDHSCA as the assistant girls coach of the year. In 2015, Jensen was a finalist for national coach of the year for girls sports. 1993 LaDawn (Paulsen) Nesje was inducted into the Washington High School Hall of Fame in 2023. 1993 Terrance Veo retired from coaching basketball, cross country and track. As a former Cheyenne River Sioux Tribal Council member, Veo had been successful in getting funds to build a nursing home, hospital and infrastructure; highway improvements; and increased funding for tribal programs. He is also the retired TERO Program Administrator, Alcohol Program Director and Achievement Center Director. CELEBRATIONS 2021 Amanda McIlravy presented her graduate vocal recital at the University of Northern Iowa on Dec. 4, in partial fulfillment of the master of music degree in vocal performance. 2022 Michelle Dailey is living in Aberdeen and working as a commission painter. She has been extremely busy over the winter holiday creating new paintings.
