17 3. Under “First-Time Access,” click Start Here. 4. For your User ID, please enter your Wolves email address as listed above, then the captcha and click Next. 5. You can select one of the following options: Text or Call your Mobile Phone, or Email my Alternate Email. You will then enter either the full phone number or personal email address that matches the one provided on your application. If the last 2 digits of the phone number displayed don’t match your phone number, please call Northern’s Help Desk at 605-626-2283 for assistance. 6. Enter the verification code sent to you. 7. Set your new password and click on Finish. • PASSWORD REQUIREMENTS • Must be 8 characters in length. • Must contain at least three of the following four character sets: • Lower case letters • Upper case letters • Numbers • Special characters (e.g. !@#$%^&*) • May not contain any part of your username 8. After setting a password, return to the New Account and Password Reset page. 9. Under “Register or Change…,” select Register or Change Info. 10. Follow the prompts on screen to finalize a method of verification (phone, email, or security questions). 11. Go to https://northern.edu/duo (from a computer) to register for Duo. • Duo is mandatory for all students and acts as an extra layer of security for your Wolves account. • When logging in, you will get a prompt on your phone (in the Duo app) to approve the login. • If you do not have a smartphone, you must purchase a Duo hardware token: https://bit.ly/nsutoken • While it is shipping, please call the Help Desk (605-626-2283) to gain immediate access to your account. 12. You may now use your Wolves account to access D2L, Gmail, the Northern Network, and Banner. STEP 2: PAYMENT Billing statements will not be accessible until early-August. Paper billing statements will not be mailed to students. All students should access their bill via their Banner account. Payment is due in full by September 4, 2023. 1. From the Northern Website, select myNSU in the top-right corner. 2. Under “Self-Service Banner”, select Student Information. 3. Sign in with your Wolves account. 4. Under “My Student Account” (on the right-hand side), select SDePay/View Accounts/Pay Here. 5.
