I think we can all agree that the past few years have been a long and windy road; peaks, valleys and a lot of bumps along the way. At the NSUF we continue to find new and positive opportunities around the bend. In the past year the NSU Foundation added new staff and leadership who have brought energy and new ideas to the table. This is well balanced with long-term dedicated staff offering wisdom, experience, loyalty and commitment to the future. Our new University President, Dr. Neal Schnoor, and Foundation President, Zach Flakus, are both proving to be forward-thinking, collaborative leaders. As future Chair, I am excited to see a thriving culture and energy within and outside the walls of the NSU Foundation office. As our new staff become “not-so-new” we now look at the next natural phase of growth with the Foundation: establishing a formal strategic plan. We are currently engaged in the strategic planning process with the input of Northern and NSUF faculty and staff, alumni, community leaders and NSU supporters. We look forward to the process and outcome of creating a blueprint to guide our mission to support the initiatives set forth by NSU and growing scholarship opportunities for students. If you are reading this, you are a supporter of NSU. For that, I want to express my sincere gratitude. Thank you for contributing to the success of this University and its students, the community and the region through your support to the NSU Foundation. Go Wolves!
