35 2022 ARC3 SURVEY FINDINGS Prevalence of Stalking For individuals who indicated that they have experienced stalking since enrolling at Northern were given follow up questions. Of those who experienced stalking 67% were female and 33% were male. About 66% of stalking perpetrators were male and 34% female. About 70% of the stalking incidents occurred on campus. Most participants indicated that the perpetrator was an acquaintance (37%) or friend (22%). When asked if the participant was using drugs or alcohol prior to the stalking incident 89% stated “no.” When asked if the perpetrator was using drugs or alcohol prior to the incident, the majority of survey participants indicated “unknown” (52%) or “no” (33%).
