Kim Beyer
is in her 10th
year of teaching first grade this
fall.
Brendan O’Connor has taken on
the role of the head coach at Otero
Junior College, where he spent
the past nine years working as the
assistant.
2008
Christopher Folk
has
spent the past five years working
as the business manager of the Big
Stone City School District, and
recently he was promoted to the
CEO/business manager. His wife,
Stephanie Folk ’08,
is working
as a graphic designer for Prestige
Beverage Group.
2009
Brian Hanegan
is working
as the Director of Jazz Studies
and Athletic Bands at Augustana
University in Sioux Falls, S.D.,
for the 2016-17 school year. He
was inducted into the National
Honorary Band Sorority in 2016
as an honorary member. Hanegan
will graduate from North Dakota
State University with a Doctor of
Musical Arts degree in 2017.

recently
completed her Master of Music in
Vocal Performance degree from
the University of Northern Iowa.

Joe Klipfel,
of Fargo,
N.D., currently works as a media
planner with Flint Group, a full-
service marketing and advertising
agency.
Christopher Massa
signed a
contract with Planet Hollywood
on the Las Vegas strip.
2014
Chelsea Kerbaugh
was the
first Northern graduate to receive
a Fulbright Scholarship and used
the scholarship to visit Vietnam
and work as an English teaching
assistant. While in Vietnam,
Kerbaugh sang the National
Anthem for President Barack
Obama.
2016
Sam Herauf,
a former
graduate assistant for NSU
Strength and Conditioning, was
recently hired as the strength and
conditioning coach at Aberdeen
Central High School.
Kelsey Chambers
will be playing
professional volleyball in Germany
this fall. The volleyball season
begins in September.
