Continuing Eligibility (See BOR AAC guidelines Academic Affairs Guidelines 7.1 Section 4.4) 1. Students must meet satisfactory academic progress in all HSDC or concurrent coursework credit per Board of Regents Policy 2:10 Grades and Use of Grade Point Averages, to maintain eligibility in the program. 2. Per these guidelines a student with a cumulative grade point average of 2.0 or better is in good academic standing. 3. If a student’s cumulative grade point average for all earned credit in HSDC or concurrent credit coursework falls below 2.0 in any given term, the student will be placed on suspension and unable to register for or remain enrolled in HSDC or concurrent credit coursework for the following term (reflecting Fall and Spring semesters only). Advising Student advising is available for all Rising Scholars students. Ms. Rhonda Carda is our Rising Scholar advisor. Rhonda can help you with many things, such as drop/adds, and any general college questions regarding plans of study. She can direct you to any of Northern’s many student services, such as tutoring centers, library access, and testing centers.
